Garth is a lecturer in statistics and data science at the University of Sydney. Previously he has been a lecturer at the University of Newcastle and a postdoctoral fellow at the Australian National University. His research interests include robust statistics, data visualisation, model selection, econometric modelling, educational research, meat science and biostatistics. He has received a number of citations for his teaching and was awarded the Pitman Prize at the 2012 Australian Statistical Conference for best talk by a young statistician and also the award for the best student presentation at the Australian Young Statisticians Conference 2013.
