I am currently a lecturer in statistics at the University of Newcastle and a member of the Priority Research Centre for Computer-Assisted Research Mathematics and its Applications (CARMA). Previously I have been a research fellow at the University of Sydney and a postdoctoral fellow at the Australian National University. My research interests include robust statistics, data visualisation, model selection, econometric modelling, educational research, meat science and biostatistics. I have received a number of citations for my teaching and was awarded the Pitman Prize at the 2012 Australian Statistical Conference for best talk by a young statistician and also the award for the best student presentation at the Australian Young Statisticians Conference 2013.
